DESIGN OFFICE · L’ATELIER DES ALVÉOLES · SINCE 2010
Designing regenerative landscapes
Studies, advice and support for all kinds of regenerative and edible landscape projects, from the first sketch to the construction site.
WHO WE ARE
A design office specialised in regenerative landscapes
Founded in 2010 by Antoine Talin, the Atelier des Alvéoles brings together a network of multidisciplinary designers specialised in permaculture and landscape. Our ecosystemic and biomimetic approach, inspired by agroecology and permaculture design, aims to integrate human activities harmoniously into their ecological, social and economic environment.
OUR APPROACH
Three pillars of a regenerative landscape
- Manage rainwater on site
- Harvest and store water
- Minimise irrigation needs
- Treat water with plants
- Create wetland habitats
- Restore soils for the long term
- Slow down and prevent erosion
- Give soil life the best conditions
- Increase and maintain fertility
- Choose well-adapted plants
- Combine them cleverly (polyculture)
- Encourage biodiversity

OUR METHOD
Permaculture design, applied to landscape
We build on the permaculture design method developed by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren, to reintegrate human ecosystems into their environment and organise them according to the laws and principles of nature.
Technical and scientific knowledge of water, soils, plants, microclimates and buildings, combined with permaculture, agroecology and creativity.
Nature as a source of inspiration: observing ecosystems to integrate our landscapes and activities harmoniously.
Thinking in flows and interrelations to create systems that are ecologically viable, fertile and socio-economically efficient.
Doing more with less, seeking efficiency and resilient projects that adapt easily to change.
Who do we work with?
Public bodies and local authorities, private gardens and collectives, farmers and landscape professionals. Write to us in English: we will get back to you.
